a summary of the article is that close relationships help us though life's trials and Tribulations. t These relationships as long as they are positive, provide a self affirming resource for us to fall back on, giving us the confidence to deal with bad news from a test that shows u our personal weaknesses and move on

i agree. In summation to the article, close (positive, not negative) relationships are an important psychological resource for enabling us to tolerate life's stresses and strains. there are studies in the article that show this, and the above post talks about one of them. i like this topic so far.

Don't you think the topic as a whole is a bit of a let down and cuts relationships up into little bits that don't allow for the rich exchange that goes on in a real relationship?
